Message from Executive Director
Welcome to our celebration!
This is a time to take pride in our accomplishments over the past century and to look forward with promise to the many challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
We take pride in the knowledge that, over the years, tens of thousands of children have been provided with safe environments to grow up in and an even greater number of families have been provided with supports and services from the Society. We’ve seen hundreds of children adopted and countless foster families who have provided children with caring and nurturing homes.
As well as reflecting on our past accomplishments, our centennial provides us with the opportunity to set out our vision and plans for the years ahead. In terms of physical assets, this will be marked by the construction of a new headquarters building which will link our existing properties at 363 and 375 Dundas Street West, Belleville into one complex. The building will accommodate community partnerships and serve as a resource to families, as well as providing state of the art accommodation for our staff and a home-like visiting centre for families to use when visiting their children.
I invite you to join with the Society in celebrating this remarkable milestone and I look forward to your continued support for the very important work that goes on day after day to keep all children in our community safe from harm.
Our centennial motto is 100 Years of Caring; looking back we have much to be proud of for that legacy of caring and looking ahead we have many goals yet to achieve, which we will do with the support of our community. So let the celebrations begin!
P. Len Kennedy
Executive Director
